๐Ÿ“ Pattern Outline & Assembly

Based on the construction of other huggy pouches by this designer and the images:

I. Pouch Base (Dark Brown)

  • This forms the lower body, which is a round/oval pouch.
  • You will need two pieces (Front and Back).

II. Turkey Head/Hat (Medium Brown/Tan)

  • This forms the top piece/lid of the pouch, likely crocheted in rounds to create a dome shape.

III. Facial Details (Head/Hat Piece)

  1. Insert Safety Eyes.
  2. Add small features like the beak (yellow) and wattle (red) using small crocheted shapes or embroidery.
  3. Wings (Dark Brown): Small shapes likely sewn or crocheted directly onto the sides of the head piece.

IV. Body Details (Front Pouch Piece)

  • Cheeks: Two yellow bobble stitches (BO) are worked into the front pouch piece to represent the cheeks.

V. Feathers (Red, Orange, Yellow)

  • Separate colorful leaf/petal shapes crocheted in red, orange, and yellow.
  • These are attached to the back seam of the pouch.

VI. Closure & Keyring

  1. Sew the button onto the outside of the front pouch piece.
  2. Create a loop using the crocheted yarn or the fabric ribbon and attach it to the top of the head piece to serve as the button loop closure.
  3. Attach the key ring to the ribbon loop.

Final Assembly:

  • The two dark brown pouch pieces are crocheted together along the bottom and sides.
  • The medium brown head/hat piece is attached to the top opening of the pouch via the button closure mechanism.
