Santa Hat (Cap) and Scarf Pattern

Abbreviations

  • sc: Single Crochet
  • inc: Increase (2 sc in one stitch)
  • dec: Decrease (sc 2 stitches together)

1. Cap (Hat)

Pom-pom (Start with White Yarn)

(The first 4 rounds create the initial white pom-pom tip of the hat.)

  1. If you want the cap without holes for the ears:

  2. With holes:
    • 11 sc, sl st, ch 6, skip 6 stitches, sl st in the next stitch, 7 sc, sl st, ch 6, skip 6 stitches, sl st in the next stitch, 10 sc (44)

2. Scarf

(Use Red Yarn)

  1. Ch 73.
  2. From the fourth chain on the hook: 70 dc.
  3. Cut the yarn, fasten off. Bring the yarn end from the beginning of the chain to the end of the row.
    • If you crochet from velvet yarn, remove the pile from the main yarn ends and tie thin ends together.
