PATTERN INSTRUCTIONS
HEAD & BODY (WORKED CONTINUOUSLY)
- Foundation: Ch 6, starting in 2nd ch from hook: 4 sc, 3 sc in last ch. Work other side of chain: 5 sc (12 total).
- Rnd 2: (1 sc, 1 inc, 3 sc, 1 inc) x2 (16).
- Rnds 3–5: 16 sc (3 rounds).
- Rnd 6: 3 sc, 1 BBL, 2 sc, 1 BBL, 9 sc (16).
- Attach safety eyes between Rnds 4–5, 2 sts apart.
- Rnds 7–8: 16 sc (2 rounds).
- Rnd 9: 3 sc, 1 BBL, 3 sc (adjust to align with paws), 1 BBL, 8 sc (16).
- Rnd 10: 8 dec (8). Stuff firmly and FO.
TAIL
- Insert hook in back of Rnd 9: Ch 4, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, slst to body. FO and weave ends.
EARS (MAKE 2)
- Insert hook at top sides of head (Rnd 2): Ch 1, 1 dc, slst. FO and weave ends.
FINISHING
- Embroider eyes, nose, and whiskers with contrasting yarn.
- Weave in all ends.
NOTES
- Work in spiral rounds without joining.
- Adjust stitch counts in Rnd 9 (**) to align paws symmetrically.
- For bobble stitch (BBL): Work 4 dc in same st, leaving last loop of each dc on hook, then yo and pull through all loops.
